This is not the place I pictured in my mind as a child. Thanks cartoons for that demented picture of penguins and igloos and Eskimos. 

I am closer to the country formerly known as Russia than my home right now. 

My aunt Cindy pointed out that only Lyndee would find a way to make her birthday a 27 hour day by jumping time zones. True story. 

There is no darkness. These were taken at 12:30 last night. 

Definitely glad I brought the sleep mask and elated to have this girl by my side.
